The summer session officially begins on Monday, July 1, 2024!
Ashcan’s Summer Architecture Courses are for students 5th grade and up. From Architecture Basics to Advanced Art Portfolio Prep, where you’ll build a strong, cohesive major-specific portfolio that meets each school’s criteria. Instructors will guide you from concept building to final design.
Start your own designs and watch them come to life in 3-D model making, drawing, painting, and more, with the help from our expert Architecture teachers, who will help you develop ideas, and transition into the final pieces.
Explore different materials and topics, and learn the basics or create a cohesive Art Portfolio for College Admissions.
College Portfolio Prep. – Architecture
Students will focus on Architectural projects to understand the three-dimensional structure and space while sharpening their sense of perspective and spatial perception.
COURSE OUTLINE FOR GRADE 11-UP
• In-Person Class
• 4hour long class
• One class Per week / 7weeks

This course introduces students to designing interior and exterior spaces, using conceptual approaches to design problems and solutions. Students learn about rendering, materials, methods, and techniques, as well as color theory. Learned techniques and materials are applied to structural drawings, plans, and elevations.
COURSE OUTLINE FOR 10-11th Grade
• In-Person Class
• 4hour long class
• One class Per week / 7 weeks (1 session)
